Happy Birthday Uncle Lee!

We LOVE Birthday parties!! Cara especially loves chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. She has never been this excited about birthday cake before.
Yummy.
We had uncle Lee's birthday party last night even though his real birthday is today.
So Happy Birthday to him and Happy Memorial Day and Happy Special Day to everyone else!

Hair Color

Good thing Ryann has blonde hair and Cara has red... because I might get confused in the future about which is which.Align CenterRyann is convinced this picture is Cara and not RyRy

One Reason

Cara seems to think there is only ONE reason why we should come to Napa for the weekend. She misses her aunties and uncles and grandma and Paca.
Unfortunately there are a lot of reasons why we can't come out. This weekend.
Maybe another one soon?
We are getting excited for a new cousin to be born.
Happy long weekend everyone!

Dance Moves

Wow. There were so many good videos to choose from. These girls are pretty funny.
Maybe I will post the one of Ryann break dancing later.

Softball Champ

The past couple weeks I have ventured out of the house with Ryann and Cara for Rich's softball games. The first week was awesome. Girls were good and Cara just cuddled with me.

This week was a little different. This smile of Rich should tell you I should have been careful taking them both out.
But the smile on this little face shows how happy they were to get out.
It is not about the mess but about the fun? Right?

Story Time

Yesterday we went to StoryTime at Barnes and Noble. Ryann listened to Goldilocks and the Three Bears and Cara squirmed and threw lots of stuffed animals.
We met up with our friends the Kohlers and when we saw them I told Ryann to give Owen a hug. After she did he said, "Wow. That was weird."

Boys will be boys but I am sure he won't be saying that in 15 years!

Important things

This morning I was lying in bed with Ryann and we started talking about really important things.
"Mommy. Horses eat grass (munch munch) and apples. And horses eat carrots and buckets of oats."

"Can we go to disneyland?"

"I'm going to go to my chicken (kitchen) and make you some breakfast. Do you want juice or milk?" I then was served breakfast in her bed which was a plastic pear, plastic green pepper, and a little saucer of pretend juice. I ate it willingly. Fake chewing sounds and slurping the juice included.

Ryann then colored a picture for uncle zach. She is getting pretty good at her "H" and people if I do say so myself.
Then I asked if I could take a nap like sleeping beauty and she said, "Shhh" as she put a blanket over my head.

A second later I heard her dialing her pretend phone and calling daddy.

Probably calling him to play with her because mom was being lazy and pretending to be sleeping beauty. Best trick in the world. Until Ryann starts yelling, "WAKE UP" and peels back your eyelids.

Crazy Girl

I think this girl is pretending the pool stick is a telescope.
a blind fold?
a guitar?
playing pretend is a lot of fun.
Please don't think her making up songs is a reflection of her mother... I think she learned to make up songs like this from her uncle Cory.

Swimming

We went swimming 3 times this week. It was grand. I am digging this part time work thing. I just hope my bank account will be okay with it.
Here we are getting ready to go into the YMCA. Cara is classic with her cheese stick. She loves cheese and she can feed herself- win win situation.

I usually don't post twice in one day... but I am getting really, really excited for my Brother and Sister in law to have their new baby.

So, for all of you who are related or excited about this upcoming addition- go to www.expectnet.com and enter BabyWagner1 and make your guess!

Does the winner get anything? Nope.

Well, bragging rights of course.

Messy House

Good thing when I have a messy house at least I know I have happy girls who have been playing all day.
They find all these lost toys (like finger puppets!) and play with them like they are new again.

Cara Walking

Here is little Miss Cara walking as requested.

I don't think I posted her 1 year weight check the other day... she is only 17.2 lbs so no forward facing car seat. We have started pediasure and carnation instant breakfast to help chunk her up for her next weight check in a month.

She kind of walks like Frankenstein.

Summer Here We Come!

Ryann wouldn't let me get a decent picture of her swimming yesterday. I did my best, but with 2 little ones running around these days it was too risky to continue taking pictures.

Now I know why my mom always put us in life jackets- it is just easier than worrying about a kid going underwater.

ANYWAY... here is Ryann and Kennedy. They had a blast and didn't fight the entire time at the pool! It was great. Ryann pretended to need help almost the entire time so Kennedy was constantly pulling her out of the water and pushing her up out of the pool. It was pretty funny, except when she kept yelling, "Help! Help"
Lucy and Cara watched a lot more. Cara did a couple face plants but overall it was very successful.
Look at those two top teeth. She has 2 more growing in as well. Maybe they will close the gap?
I am pretty sure here in Phoenix that summer is here to stay. It was almost 90 today and that was actually pretty wonderful. I just don't know what will happen when it gets hotter. I guess the same as every year. Stay inside and only go out really early in the morning.

Lemons

My sister Ashley requested a video of Cara walking... so I started searching through the videos and I have none! So I will get one today.

We have been slacking on the videos since our Flip Camera broke... We will get it replaced soon.

But for your enjoyment- Ryann eating a lemon and hamming it up.

Not Sure

I am not sure why I thought it was a good idea to leave a bowl of oatmeal and a spoon with my 1 year old.

She was just so quiet for so long...
Thankfully she was contained in the high chair or this would have been a disaster!

More Vicki

Here are some more pictures from Graduation. We sure love our Auntie Vicki!
Both girls wore their flamingo outfits to support Vicki... last year for her Graduation from her BSN program at ASU they brought a GIANT flamingo with a cap and gown on. This year she was a little more mature and no blow horns or stuffed animals. Just cute supporters!
The proud mama. We are all proud of you Vicki!
And even these thugs who think they are cool... really admire what you have done and accomplished.

Now on to the job search... good luck with that one.

Congrats Grad

Congrats to Auntie Vicki! We are so proud of you for graduating with your Masters degree in accounting.
The ceremony was long but we all enjoyed it.
Even this little stinker Ryann.

We love you!

Helping

Ryann is such a helper. This week Rich spent some time taking apart our dishwasher to figure out why it wasn't cleaning well. Did you know there is a little garbage disposal/food chopper inside a dishwasher?? Haha. You probably did. I did not. And by the way... it is gross.
Ryann and Rich cleaned it all up and it works wonderful now!

Side by Side

Rich's mom really likes the "little people" toys from Fisher Price. They are really cute and fun and perfect for little hands like Cara's. For Cara's birthday they got her the little people A to Z animal set. It is really cute and we are constantly reminding Ryann that these are Cara's toys.
Each animal is labeled with its letter (Q for Quail)

Look at my princesses playing side by side.
Sigh... what a fun time.

Thank you!

Today we were thinking about going to Disneyland to be with Ash and Devy... but the new job got in the way! And I am thankful for a new job so I cannot complain!

Speaking of Ashley and Devyn... look at this sweet bracelet they sent for Cara's birthday. I LOVE IT!
Cara spent most of the day trying to figure out how to get it off and she also spent some time chewing on it because she is teething... but other than that I can tell she loves it too.

Thanks sissys. I love you.

Sacrifice on Mother's Day

I am sacrificing a horrible picture of myself for preservation of memories... These are my sweet girls who brought me pancakes and a card in bed yesterday for Mother's Day.

Happy Mother's Day

Today was a sweet day as I was greeted in the morning with Ryann and Cara holding hands and walking into my room and followed by their amazing daddy with pancakes for breakfast. (Yes Cara is officially walking! And cutting 2 more teeth for a total of 6)

Then Ryann sang with the primary children at church. She sang her little heart out and she even followed the actions that the leader was doing. I don't think she had any idea what she was singing but it was my first time having my little baby singing to her mom at church and I just loved it.

and then I got an email from Southwest saying I just got a free flight for using my southwest card. YIPPY! Now I just need to find the perfect time for us to go somewhere.

What an awesome day. I will post pictures of it tomorrow.

Happy Mother's Day to all the women in my life who are mothers. You are great examples to me and I love you all.

Big Girl

Look at my big girl sitting in RyRy's spot in front of the TV eating herself some beans.
She cracks me up.

PJ Day

I am not going to lie. Spending the day with the girls was grand. I had lots of time to prepare for my 2 presentations tomorrow (a talk on women's health to a church group and a talk on nurse midwives to a midwife group) and we just played.

Did I mention we didn't get dressed all day? We had a PJ day! Cara had a diaper day because those PJs get stripped off every morning with diaper change-but either way it was a lazy day.
We are thinking of going out to dinner to celebrate Rich losing 32 pounds and winning $230 at his work. But then we would have to get dressed. And who wants to do that?
And right now Ryann is practicing spitting into the bathroom sink. She has brushed her teeth at least 8 times today. Just so she can spit some more.
And now she just came to me and said, "mama. I'm too wet." maybe now is the time to get dressed for the day.

We love you!

Kinks

There are a few kinks to work out before I start my new job. There is a good possibility that one of those isn't going to work out.... but I need to just have faith and know that somehow it will work out.

I have been very blessed lately and even if this job doesn't work out I know something is right around the corner.

I am also very tired. Visited a lot of moms and babies that I really care about before leaving my old job completely. No matter how happy I am to be leaving the old work environment I will really miss my patients and their families.

Other than that I don't have much to report. But I will soon.

I hope they call me on a mission

Today Zach leaves for his 2 year mission for our church. He will be going to Fort Worth, Texas. He will be speaking Spanish to those who do (and don't) desire to learn more about the "good news" of Jesus Christ.

I am so proud of him. Ryann sang him "I hope they call me on a mission" last night. Then she said "goodbye. I love you!" and that was all. I said a lot more and I cried. I am going to miss him. However, I know it is important for him to get out there and focus. Spend his time and energy serving the Lord and learning and growing as an individual.

I hope they call me on a mission. When I have grown a foot or two. I hope by then I will be ready. To teach and preach and work as missionaries do.

Word

Look at this hard core pose by my cute baby girl??
It looks like it is time to get her bangs cut. How about a quick trip to Anaheim to visit family and auntie devyn for a hair cut before I start my new job?

Or maybe I should grow them out? What do you think?

Finally... Happy 1st CARA!

Wonderful Natalie made a barbie birthday cake for Cara! The frosting was actually bright purple but for some reason my camera made it blue...
Notice the red-head cake. Just perfect for CK!

Not as messy as hoped- but I think daycare has taught her how to eat pretty and not messy.

And guess what? I just was offered a job! Thank you so much for your love and prayers and support. I have felt the love and energy of so many people in this great time of need and I can't even begin to explain the peace and love I feel.

Maybe tomorrow I will find time to explain. Or Wednesday after I sign my contract.

Happy Birthday Grandma Dottie!

Yesterday was my Grandma Dottie's birthday. The day was lazy but somehow all things were forgotten... such as calling Grandma and singing happy birthday.
.
And then we forgot again today. :(
So here is a princess crown for the birthday girl and just know Grandma that we love you and I am thinking if I am unemployed for more than a couple weeks we are taking a road trip to visit you and Grandpa!
.
I hope you had a wonderful day!

Lazy Saturday

Today is a lazy Saturday and I love it. There a lot of projects all over the house and a lot of cleaning to get done... but we have already cuddled, played in the play house, ran around in the backyard, went on a walk, and made cupcakes!
The doors are open letting in the breeze. Ahhh... did I mention my last day of work was yesterday?
This is going to be a very good thing. Now I just hope something comes up soon (as in a new job for me!)

And if not then I am sure to have a lot more fun, lazy days, with my girls!
