Frisbee Anyone?

After a delicious peanut butter and jelly sandwich (note the jelly all over the face) it is a perfect day to play frisbee!

Tribute to Grandma and Grandpa

So my mom and dad are out of cell phone service this week and it has been killing me! I haven't been able to tell my mom about my past 3 deliveries, my teacher coming to visit, passing another class (1 left to go!), and that Ryann has been kind of sick this week! It is really hard to go a day without talking to my mom, so you can imagine that a week is driving me insane. So I hope you are having fun at girls camp this week because your granddaughter (but mostly daughter) is missing you already!

Climbing Attempts

Ryann had so much fun running around free at the family reunion. One of her newest tricks is climbing. We don't have much to climb on at our house, so this picnic bench was quite a large task. She never quite made it up, but she sure had fun trying.

Trip to Angel Island

Another part of the family reunion was having the whole gang take a day trip to Angel Island. It is in the San Francisco Bay and you can see Alcatraz from the island.

We took a ferry to the island and here is a picture of Ryann enjoying it:

Nugs also had her first 2 bike rides (don't worry, we didn't go far with her on my back) Below is Ryann and her cousin Ethan when we took a bike ride around the Island

Ryann had so much fun chasing the seagulls (which she thought were ducks and she kept yelling "Cack Cack Cack"-- which means quack quack quack). Nugs also enjoyed picking up sticks and the occasional piece of deer poop lying around on the ground.

Her mother, on the other hand, went crazy trying to chase after her, keep her away from the water and other groups of kids, and keep poop out of her hands.

Over all it was a great day and by the end we were all exhausted.

Family Reunion Recap

Ryann and I had an awesome time in Napa but it is good to be home. We had fun at the San Francisco Giants game. They won! It was a super fast game and it only lasted 2 hours, so Ryann did great!
Here she is with her Uncle Zach and her Grandpa in the background.

Flash Back Friday

I figured since I was at my parents house I would be able to find some rockin picture and post it on the blog. However, in the utter mess of the "library" at my parents house I am unable to find the cable to the scanner. So it will have to wait until I get home on Sunday. I did find some awesome pictures of me as a toddler making the exact same expressions that Nugs makes. However, I was a much fatter baby than Ryann so they are funnier.

Just in case you were wondering... Ryann's big cheesy grin comes from her mother

Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure:Kind of blurry... but a picture of a picture kind of does that.

Both of these pictures are from when I was younger than Ryann is now... but we have about the same amount of hair I think. (I was that cute little girl blessed with lots of hair... not like Nugs)

Off to cooler weather

Ryann and I are off to Napa for the Wagner Family Reunion. We are so excited to be going to the beautiful Valley. We are planning on a Giants game. Lots of playing with cousins, swimming, bike rides, and playing with Grandma and Grandpa!

Tag, I'm it!

Well, since I don't have anything exciting to blog about I figured I would answer the "tag" from Heather and share 8 little things- not about myself, but about Ryann.

1. Her favorite movie is Tarzan. She can imitate every animal that she sees on the show. The elephant, the gorilla, the monkey, the birds, and even TARZAN! "AHHH AHHH AHHH AHHH" However, she doesn't imitate the Hippos. (does anyone know what sound a hippo makes?)

2. Ryann loves Milk. If you fill up her sippy cup with milk she will drink the entire thing in one sitting.

3. Speaking of milk... Ryann breastfed everyday until her 1st birthday and the day I stopped she didn't even notice... sad for mommy.

4. Ryann is sneaky. She often walks around the house playing with things she shouldn't and is really quiet about it. The times that I catch her she throws whatever it is and runs. She also does this with her friend's toys. She will sneak a toy away from them and run away with it so she can play with it all herself.

5. Ryann has pooped in the potty! Only once, but thats okay. I figure she can't even talk enough to tell me she is hungry- so I know that real potty training is a long ways away.

6. Ryann loves to read. If she has a pile of books next to her then she will sit and be quiet for at least 15 minutes. Turning one page at a time.

7. Ryann loves her "silky", her little scrap of blanket that she loves to have to fall asleep with. If she has her silky she can sleep in any location

8. Ryann is a thumb sucker and I don't care what anyone says about it. I LOVE IT! I am so happy that she is a self soother and she is independent. She doesn't need anyone else to keep her calm, happy, or comfortable-- she can do it all herself

EEEEWWWW Gross!

Yuck... but as promised I will post the picture.

In order to get rich to shave the moustache he so proudly shaved (or didn't shave) I had to promise to put a picture of it on the blog.... YUCK!

Our little fish

Here is the picture!
I will try to get a picture or a video of it soon but last night when we put Ryann in the bath tub she was splashing all over. Then things started getting funnier when she started licking the water. Well, to our knowledge she hasn't peed in the water yet... (and later we find out she hasn't peed in the water because she peed all over the carpet)

So then she starts sticking her entire face in the water and starts to blow bubbles. We are laughing hysterically because she keeps doing it over and over again. Well then she starts laughing too and that ends up with her sucking in a huge gulp of water into her lungs! She coughs and spits and looks pretty scared for a minute... and then she does it all over again!

Our little fish must love the water!

FlashBack Friday

Not that I particularly like showing myself in a swimsuit... cause I don't... but here is a cute picture after Rich's surgery. Look at how thin he had gotten! This was also a forced smile on Rich's part because he wasn't allowed to go on any of the slides at the waterpark. Poor guy

Busy Girl

Ryann is such a busy girl. She never sits still for the camera-- and when she does stop and look at it then all she wants to do is grab it. Within a minute of pulling out the camera she had gone from playing with Daddy's measuring tape to watching TV in her little chair. She buckles herself in her chair now too! So funny....

DrillBit Taylor

Wow... I just finished watching a hilarious movie called DrillBit Taylor. It is Owen Wilson and I really think that this movie got overlooked. I definately recommend watching it for some good laughs.

Haircut please!!

In a week and a half Nugs and I are going to California for a family reunion. We are so excited because we get to see tons of family and even more so because my little sister Devyn is going to go to the Temple for the first time and I get to be there with her.

Another bonus is Devyn will not only cut and highlight my hair, but she will give Ryann her first, much needed, HAIRCUT! We are sad daddy wont be there to see it, but we gotta get this mullet/mop/mess cleaned up. No more hair in the eyes!

FlashBack Friday

4 Years ago, right as Rich and I were getting ready to go on our belated honeymoon, Rich was having quite a lot of pain-- actually he woke me up crying in pain-- The urgent care doctor said he was constipated. Well, not true. After a couple more ER visits they finally took out his ruptured appendix and the mass of infection that it left in his colon. Needless to say our honeymoon was a fun week in the hospital with bed baths, morphine pumps, popsicles and urinals.
Anytime you want Rich will show you his beautiful 10 inch scar and talk about missing part of his colon. I dare you to ask.

Happy Birthday Ethan!

Happy Birthday Cousin Ethan! We miss you and wish you could come play in Arizona with baby Ryann. See you at Auntie Devyn's Wedding!

I hate these guys

Fortunately this summer we have only seen these guys out in our garage or dead inside the house! That makes me really happy. Because it hasn't always been that way.
So recently I have tried really hard to "GO GREEN" and not use pesticides in my home. I had Rich put cheese cloth on all of our vents (so the scorpions can't climb through), and I decided I was going to get that special "die-a-ti-may-tious" earth stuff to put along the perimeter of the house so the scorpions would die if they walked on it.
Anyway, I was really motivated until 3 days after our regualr pest control appoinment had passed and I found this booger in the house. Needless to say the pest control comes every month, on the dot, and these scorpions don't come back.

So much for going green...

Nursery Artist

Today I had to go to a delivery during church... since Rich was busy playing the piano I begged the nursery leaders to let Ryann stay for an hour. She did very well, was behaved, and even made me a pretty picture! I am so proud of how well she did. Her best friend Kennedy didn't fare so well and after I left she had a melt down and had to go home early from church.

If you think I'm cute... you should see my dad!

My two favorite people!
Ryann's shirt says:
"If you think I'm cute you should see my dad".
After a very busy 4th of July all Ryann wanted to do was cuddle with her Daddy on the couch (we were at Rich's mom's house) She was lying on his chest and relaxing when I pulled out the camera. As soon as Nugs saw the camera all she wanted to do was sit up and try to pose for it. However, this made a pretty cute picture as well.
And some of you may not know, but Ryann and Rich have matching Superman dogtags and they are both wearing them in this picture.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July everyone. Today we went with Rich's family to Logans Roadhouse... AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!
Ryann loved being able to eat and throw peanuts all over. We also let her eat all of her food herself. She had macaroni, mushrooms, frenchfries, and some chicken. (Not all mixed together) Anyway, who knew that a 1 1/2 year old would like mushrooms?
I still won't eat mushrooms and I am 24....

Corn on the Cob

My cute baby girl wasn't satisfied eating the corn we cut off the cob for her. She didn't even like the little piece of corn we gave her to bite off of. Oh no... she needed the entire cob. So next time I make corn I have to buy 3!
I figured it was about time to get a picture of Nugs and me

Nugs eating her very own Corn!

Climbing In and Out

So in order to keep Ryann away from the computer while I was doing my homework I set up a barricade using these baskets. It was working very well until she realized that she could climb in and out. Fortunately she spent most of her time "in" rather than "out". So much fun.

Cookin with mommy

Ryann had fun baking muffins with me the other morning. We were making them special for daddy. He is the best dad in the world!
