Enough Already

Enough of the pictures from Utah- hahaha- yeah right. I tend to do an overload of posts when we do trips because it is just more fun that way. Besides- I haven't talked about the reception yet.
In the above picture I gave Rich the ultimatum- either the hat or the glasses but not both. He chose the hat of course.
A little blurry but the crepe desserts were amazing and Ryann loved the chocolate pudding.
Cara is quite the charmer of Grandpa and Grandma Great- and everyone else she hangs out with.
And save the best for last! CC and Ryann are basically cousins and it was so fun to see them chase each other around and play with their horsies and balloons!

Thank Goodness for REAL photographers

Thank Goodness I am not a wedding photographer- here are the most decent pictures I got of Mark and Mallory.
They are much cuter in person and the pictures do not do them justice.
Congrats to the beautiful couple!

Who Got Married?

One would think that as I browse through the 90 pictures we took while at the wedding that it was Rich or uncle Zach who had gotten married. There are sooo many pictures of them and so few of the bride and groom.
.
I think Rich and Zach purposely try to mess up pictures.
.
What do you think?
How about this one?

Or this one?
Maybe we will get a picture of the bride and groom tomorrow.
.
I gotta leave you in suspense- or how else would I know you would come back and visit my blog?

Cool Picture

No long posts for me tonight- I am exhausted after a really long car ride. Which, by the way, the girls did fabulous both ways! (I can say that now that it is over!)
Look at my pretty Easter Nail Polish!
Can you see Auntie Devyn in the background?
Thanks Rich for being a good sport through it all.
Even though you wore your fedora hat all weekend.
I love you.

Not Fair

It isn't fair to only post awful pictures of my family and not me... so this is for your viewing pleasure.
I think Cara is trying to eat crayons or escape. Probably both.

Tears to Come

The last time I saw my cousin Amanda we were driving to her sister's wedding. We spent a good 6 hours in a car jam-packed with stuff and 2 babies and it was crazy and a suitcase fell on her head and she didn't complain. Her baby didn't make a peep. Her husband told me that Ryann spoke Russian. I then informed him that Ryann didn't even speak English. Some days I am still not sure what language she speaks- but it is getting farther and farther from Russian and closer to English.
So you know I am in Utah and there are a lot of us in town for this wedding. A LOT. And I am happy about it. But...
Tomorrow we are all going to cry. Why? Well, that is what Wagners do. My Grandpa starts crying first, and my mom then comes next- but she only cries out of one eye so only half the room can physically tell she is crying (that is another story-love you mom!). Then I will of course cry because I am crying just thinking about it. My bet is Judy will cry -and Jim- and of course Uncle Paul but Aunt Susan might hold it together...Nah- I am not even going to spend anymore time thinking about it- at least 50% of the room will.

From there each one of us will start to think about our Eternal Family. Not just our spouse or our children but our parents and cousins and uncles and aunts. Then it will lead to the family we have lost or who aren't there with us for many reasons. We will each in our own turn think of Tyler Roy and of Amanda and the preciousness of life.

And then Mark and Mallory will enter into the room and our thoughts will turn to this family of 2 that will be starting. Our tears will be joyful because of the purity of the marriage they will enter into. Our tears will also be joyful because Mark's dad, even after a round of chemotherapy, will be there to witness this glorious event.

And we will be happy, knowing we are blessed everyday. Even the days we don't feel blessed or feel like we deserve to be blessed, we are. We are here, surrounded by family and those who love us.

And I will miss Amanda. And then I will cry some more knowing she probably wouldn't have come to the wedding anyway because she would have had a new baby.

And then I will try to remember how funny it was when that suitcase fell on her head- even though I was mortified at the time. And then I will smile because I know families are forever and I know I will see her and Tyler Roy some day.

And Erin will cry when she reads this post. I love you!

Golden Goose

Ryann can never say I only took bad pictures of her and not of Cara. Cause that sure isn't true.
If you noticed in the video from yesterday- Cara has a fascination with Uncle Zach and his picture. As does Ryann. We will sure miss him while he is gone on his mission but with that being said we are so excited for him to go.
One question we may never get the answer to is, Who in the world takes their senior picture with a Golden Goose??

Love her

She has been driving me crazy lately with eating food. She refuses all baby food (I am surprised it took so long for her to do this!) and even if I sneak something in her mouth she spits it out. Like spits it ALL OUT!
.
She doesn't chew. She only has 2 teeth. She lets the food sit in her mouth and dissolve until she swallows about 2-5 minutes later.
.
She only eats crackers or marshmallows from lucky charms. Or Veggie Straws.
.
She throws all her other food.
.
I used to laugh at my girlfriend who said all her baby would eat was grilled cheese sandwiches. I just thought she didn't try hard enough.
.
That will teach me.
.
She is still nursing well- only if she is playing with a toy when I feed her. If not then NO WAY! Ryann is trained to get a "soft toy" for Cara when she nurses because if it isn't soft then she drops it on her head and cries.
.
Any suggestions? How to deal with picky eaters? Support groups?

People

All of these people are drawn by Ryann. 100%

I am not sure why so many are frowning. Hopefully because it is easier to draw frowns than smiles??

Miss Sophie

Miss Mary (the girl's daycare teacher) thinks that Cara looks like Miss Sophie the Giraffe.

What do you think?

Double

Cara has been climbing like crazy. I think that is all I have to say.
Double Goose Eggs for Cara. Poor girl.

Rich's Style

This is how Rich celebrated St Patrick's Day.

Happy St Patrick's Day

Hope you guys had a great green day!!
Cara barfed all over her clothes today... maybe it had something to do with I found her eating old popcorn and crackers out of the garbage can today.
Don't ask... and don't call CPS on me. I was blow drying my hair.
We had green deserts tonight too. Yummy.

No Joke

My 10 1/2 month old baby will not eat the cereal part of lucky charms until she eats all of the marshmallows.
No Joke. She digs and digs and digs until her sticky little fingers get a hold of a marshmallow. I have even seen her spit out the cereal part if it accidentally gets in her hands.

Paseo Park

This weekend we also went to a park with some friends. It was kind of like a "blind date" for Rich since he didn't know this family but he actually ended up having a really good time.

The entire park is made on top of an old landfill. So the area is surrounded by old rubber tires and a ton of recycled material. There is an archery range, frisbee golf course, dog park, running trails, and a fun place for the kids to play.

(The picture below is an awesome one of someone else's kid riding on the little merry go round.)
This family actually was one of my patient's who had her baby 2 weeks ago- then she insisted she make us a breakfast of waffles, eggs, and fruit at the park. She is a super woman!

I can't forget to mention the horsie that came with us to the park.
And here is a little video clip of the ride that Rich and our new friend Nathan spent the majority of the time pushing the kids on. They got quite the work out and it was pretty fun to watch everyone enjoy themselves.
Hopefully we can go back soon and fly some kites- being an elevated park (on top of the landfill- that doesn't stink!) will make for great kite flying on a windy day.

Snow Cone Saturday

Did I forget to mention the weather was beautiful enough for Snow Cones at the baseball game yesterday?

It was.
I didn't realize I could capture so many different faces before just one bite!

Love it.

Spring Training

I love when Spring Training games are played in the perfect weather!
And guess what?!
Today was one of those days.
We got $6 lawn seats which was perfect for Ryann to run around like crazy. Rich got to watch some good playing on the Giant's part which made the game great.
Ryann above looks like she is sun bathing, but really she is getting ready to roll down the hill.
Ryann and I had a lot of fun until the big meltdown- but we won't go into details on that. Thanks again to the *H* family for watching Miss Cara Kay.

And Happy Birthday to Chris- you are such an awesome guy that always has time to play with the little ones.

Ikea Night

Rich does not like Ikea- but we gotta admit that the food there is good and cheap. Not to mention a super messy ice cream cone for Ryann makes the day a lot more fun.

She is trying to say "Cheese" here but also keep her eyes out of the sun.

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Happy Birthday to My Grandpa and to Ryann and Cara's Great Grandpa!
.
We hope you enjoyed your Happy Birthday song from Ryann.
.
It is great having a 3 year old who can talk and do cute things like that!

Horsies

Ryann has a current obsession due to the fact that we borrowed the movie, "SPIRIT" from a friend. Spirit is a wild mustang who eats apples and lives on the wild frontier. He is brown like the majority of the horses below.
Ryann likes to pretend she is a horse. She crawls around and kicks her legs up and neighs all the time.
I can usually get her to do things by threatening to take away her horses or by telling her that her horsies want her to do it. Sometimes I have to pretend I am a horse and have her ride on my back to take her places.
Everytime we look up the horsies are somewhere else. They even went to church with us on Sunday.

Clean the Lens

I often forget that when you let the 3 year old play with your camera you can't forget to clean the lens before taking pictures of your ridiculously cute 10 month old.
Look at the difference.
And look at that mess she made! She giggled the entire time she was playing.

Future School Teacher?

Since we are limiting the amount of time Ryann is spending in front of the TV (you probably don't believe it but it is true mom!) , we have been spending a lot more time reading books.
.
Ryann wanted to read a book to Cara and Me so I thought it would be fun to video tape.
She is pretty cute.
I am dorky for making them match- but it was Miss Mary's birthday on Friday so I thought we should celebrate.

No No NO

We would never tell this sweet girl no... would we??
I can't even imagine who she is learning from! Shaking her finger and trying to say no.
:)
We are pretty convinced she doesn't know what it means because she still plays in the fireplace, gets into the toilet, and is always tipping over garbage cans and looking for paper to eat.
And here is a little picture of Cara getting into the toy bins.

Cousin Love

Obviuosly Cara isn't the only baby who likes to play by the toilet. Here is Miss Addison Anne playing at grandma's house by the toilet!

Slippers, Smiles, and Sunshine

My family left over a week ago and I just erased these sweet notes off of my white board.
Aren't families the best? Even with all the craziness and ups and downs and drama? They are the best.

This is also a sweet little video of Slippers, Smiles, and a nice sunny day in Arizona.

Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes

Here is Ryann singing Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes.
She is a little distracted, but basically she only sings it if you ask her to sing it, "REALLY FAST!"
She thinks that is just the best.
But then again.... I think singing it "REALLY FAST!" is the best too.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

I pulled up this picture from Devyn's blog and I was showing Ryann the pictures. I asked, "Ryann, who is in the picture?"
She then said, "Zachy!"
Who else?
"Grandpa" (we have been practicing so she says grandpa now instead of Paca)
And who else?
"Auntie Debyn!!"

Congrats mom! Happy Birthday. You look like an Auntie instead of a grandma! (according to a 3 year old!)

Make Daddy Proud

Rich made sure to get Ryann with his 2 favorite modes of transportation. First is a sailboat. Did you know Rich has a sailboat? I have seen it a couple times. So I believe him even though I have never been on it. Long story.
Second is Ryann on a motorcycle. Mommy not to happy, but Daddy is sure excited. He used to dream about a side car with a carseat in it so he could take Ryann to and from daycare.
I guess that dream faded with Cara... I mean... come on... what kind of manly man has 2 side cars with carseats attached to a motorcycle??
