$2

You never know how far $2 will take you until you get an awesome card in the mail from GRANDMA!!

Both girls were soooo excited to get mail. They asked to go shopping immediately.
I figured Walgreens was a lot safer than target considering they only had $2.

Ryann picked out this awesome "Class of 2011" dog that you can write on. She has slept with it every night. Thank you graduates for not snatching this one up... she saved $13.50. Score. She paid a whopping $1.50.
Cara then wanted a puppy too. She paid a more expensive $1.99, so Ryann didn't know it, but she shared her change with Cara to cover the tax.
Thanks so much grandma for the sweet cards in the mail. Hopefully now we will find some time to send back some thank you cards.

San Francisco: Missing Photos

I thought I had posted all my pictures from California. I forgot about the ones that my mom took while we were driving through San Francisco. Here is one of us driving on the golden gate bridge. We had plans to ride our bikes across it, but we ran out of time!
I had so much fun driving down Lombard Street. Seriously it was so much fun.
Last year my brother in law and I tried to drive down it, but the line of cars was soooo long.
Yes, my car windows really needed to be cleaned.
And proof that I actually was the one who drove down it.
Does anyone know why we wear huge sunglasses?
For me it was recommended by my opthamologist... I have very sensitive eyes and a lot of sun damage (no vision changes) but the sun is causing some problems to my eyes. She recommended that I wear large glasses to keep out as much sun as possible.
So when I am 85 I will be that lady with the huge glasses.
But for now I will thank Paris Hilton for making bug eye sunglasses in style (for a little while at least)

Almost there

I have been taking forever to finish up the final touches on the girl's room.
While doing so the other day Ryann comes in and puts both Buzz and Woody to sleep. Then she looks at me and says, "now mom, I need you out of my room so Buzz and Woody can sleep."

She then repeated this 2 more times.
After the third time of telling me to get out of her room she said, "MOM! Are you even listening to me? I said I need you out of my room."

I said right back, "No Ryann, I am not going to listen to you because I need to finish painting your room. I will be quiet so they can sleep."
Ryann then says, "are you freakin kidding me?" and storms out of the room.
I have no idea where she learned that kind of language. (GASP!)

Doesn't the city-scape look awesome??
Not quite finished, but close.

Ribs, Ryann Style

(This post is for you Chase!)
Last night we had some friends over for dinner. She is on a pretty limited diet due to nursing a baby with some food aversions (colitis, reflux, etc etc... Poor guy!). She can't eat wheat, gluten, nuts, eggs, dairy... and maybe more?? I figured she had been eating a lot of chicken and rice so I decided to try something new.

Well, I made Rich try something new since I was working and he was at home with the girls.

He made BBQ ribs.
I thought they were delicious.
Obviously Ryann thought they were too.

She ate more ribs than I did! She was a mess but I think it made her daddy happy that his dinner was a success.

Happy Birthday Cory!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CORY!!!

While we were in Napa we celebrated my brother's 30th birthday! It was such a fun party!
The theme was Prom--- like prom from any era. So of course we pulled out all the stops and found some awesome outfits.
When the light hit my dress right it seriously looked like I was a disco ball!

This picture above is almost all of the Wagner kids!! *minus Elder Wagner*
It was so much fun to get together and celebrate.

My mom and I had matching style dresses. Her dress she bought 13 years ago?? My sister in law found mine at the thrift store last week.
This last dress was my runner up dress. Didn't quite make the cut, but still a fabulous dress.

Seriously

Tonight I am heading out for my 3rd time to go see this movie.
Obsessed? Yes.
Did I dress up?
No.

Do I hope to make a Harry Potter birthday party some day in the future for my girls?
Yes.

Pictures for Grandma

Impromptu photo shoots don't work out very well.
Sorry Grandma. We tried and we sure love you.
Seriously... I took over 25 pictures.
We had to bribe with whipped cream.
Memories. It is all about the memories.

Day at the Lake

On Friday we went to Lake Berryessa. I grew up on this lake. I remember the boat dying, I remember the car dying, I remember losing hats, glasses, food, and even the time my little brother pooped in the lake.

Lots and lots of good memories of sun-in, sun burns, dehydration, the ski-bob, and more.

This time was much more fun. I loved watching my cute girls play.
Here is Cara helping Addie work on her tan.
Cara is trying to drive the boat- don't look too close or else you will see boogers in her nose.
Ryann wore this cute life jacket with the buckle underneath- remember those? Yeah, hated them, but oh so handy if you are a mom and want to make sure your child stays in their life jacket.
Me and the hubby. We both wakeboarded and it reminded me of how little I use those muscles now.
His sunburn is from the Giant's game a couple days before. We both kept out of the sun and tried hard to keep on top of the re-application of the sunscreen.

Horses

Most of you should know that Ryann's favorite animal is a horse. She sings songs about horses. She sleeps with her horses and she has started praying that she can ride on a horse.

While in Napa my mom and I drove out and took her to see some horses at the equestrian center. She was in heaven. She kept saying, "mom, I think that one wants to ride on me."

Meaning- "I think that horse wants me to ride on it."

When she saw a really pretty horse she would say it was a girl because it was "so beautiful!"

Happy Birthday Ethan

This week has been packed with birthday parties!!

We had a surprise party for Ethan on Thursday. Happy 7th Ethan!

Here is Ryann (and friends) singing to Ethan with his Cars cake my mom made for him.

I love how animated Ryann is when she sings. The birthday boy in his Justin Bieber Fever shirt from his auntie Erin. He has worn it almost every day since his party.

Cara is a little chilly in this northern California weather.

What a stud. Ethan was not too happy with Rich when he came and stormed the bouncy house. He threw Ethan up and Ethan pulled a muscle. Sorry bud!

He and his friends did have a fun time with Rich until then :)

Bouncy House

I had to include this top picture because I am babysitting sweet baby Dean tonight. He is finally warming up to me. The first day I was here he wasn't too fond of me. But now- well, he still prefers his other aunties, but at least he will go to me and snuggle with me. These next two pictures are of of Ryann enjoying her time in the bouncy house. It completely exhausted her so hopefully she sleeps well tonight. (please don't wake up before 7am!!!)
Thanks daddy for playing so much with the girls today. Even though a little boy stepped on a not so nice place and you rolled around in agony for like 10 minutes.
I didn't see you cry though- way to hold it together in front of all the birthday party kids.

All Clean

Seriously these girls are monoplolizing the camera this week. I need to remember to share the camera love and take pictures of something besides these nuggets. Thanks Grandma for keeping us all clean!

...and...Happy Birthday Grandma Great!

Plums

This week we are spending a lot of time at my older brother's new house. They are repainting and reflooring and putting in new lights and all that stuff.

Cara is helping by cleaning out the backyard of all the plums.

She ate at least 3 all by herself yesterday.

Just in case you don't believe me- look at this face.
Thanks Uncle Cory and Aunt Katie for sharing your plums!

Happy Birthday Addie

We celebrated Cousin Addie turning 2 last night.

Look carefully. Cara is trying to prevent Addie from blowing out the candle before the song is finished being sung. Here is princess Addie eating her cake and ice cream. And what child's party would be complete without 4 of them trying to open a present at the same time.

Love you sweet girl!!

No More Monkeys...

...jumping on the bedOne fell off and bumped its head (Cara acting out the bump)

Mama called the doctor and the doctor said...

"NO MORE MONKEYS JUMPING ON THE BED!"

Addie and Cara are having a blast playing together. It is so much fun to see them interact. What a sweet thing it is to have cousins.

Grandma's House

Ryann's favorite toy at grandma's house has to be the horsies you can ride.
Way better than the dollar store stick ponies they got for Christmas from Santa.

Fridge Lock?

So Harry Potter was amazing. I cried. Not bawled and blow your nose cry, but the wipe away a few tears cry.

Loved it.

Now, back to the nuggets.

First night- cheese and toothpaste

Second night- Ate a package of plain hamburger buns, about 6 total. Crumbs everywhere.

Last night- 8 hard boiled eggs. Imagine little pieces of shells and egg scattered across the floor, beds, and blankets. They only ate a grand total of like 3 of the 8 eggs, but the rest had big chunks taken out and scattered all over the floor.

Anyone know about a lock for a fridge?

Or do I just lock the girls in their room?

Ay ay ay

I need a vacation.

On My Way

I am about to pee my pants in excitement.

Finally

I have had a rough couple days and nights with these girls... I sure love them but let me give you a run down of what happened this morning.

3:08am- I wake up to giggles and laughing
3:09am- I walk into the girls room, Cara is lying in Ryann's bed and they are reading a book. All of the toys are scattered around the room. Obviously they have been playing for awhile. Cute, yes, but at 3:09am not so much.
3:09-3:12am- I proceed to scold, put girls back to bed, ignore pleas for drinks, snacks, and treats. Then I trip over the blankets they pulled out of the hall closet and finally I get back to bed.
5:20am- wake up to go hiking. Their room is quiet and the door is shut.
6:15am- Rich wakes up to girls laughing and squealing and he finds them in the bathroom with toothpaste all over the bathroom, toilet, hands, faces, and legs.
6:30am- home from hiking I walk into their room and I find shredded cheese scattered all over their floor. They had snagged a bag during the middle of the night from the fridge and consumed the entire thing- besides the pieces all over their beds and floors.
7:25am- Ryann steps on a hairball from the kitty. She then proceeds to walk around the house to try and show me the icky brown stuff on the bottom of her foot.
I can go on, but let me just say- them passing out in their beds tonight was like a little miracle to my soul. And sanity.

Love them, but I am ready for a vacation.

Bedtime

So basically I am finding out that Cara sleeps like her daddy and Ryann sleeps like her mommy.

Ryann and Cara were both awake. However, Cara was pacing the room when I went in to try to get her to go to sleep. She convinced me to lie down next to her. I instantly fell asleep. 10 minutes later I wake up and see that Ryann is also knocked out cold but Cara is still lying there- looking at the ceiling and sucking her thumb.

Poor girl. However, I guess in the long run she will be much more entertaining and exciting than I ever am. Cause gosh, I fall asleep just about everywhere and anywhere. That is no fun. It makes me a pretty boring person.

Night Night

Hopefully these girls will sleep well tonight. They did last night!
Ryann made sure she got a picture with her horse book. She has like 10 of these books.

Rich hung up their night lights and they are pretty excited that they can turn them on and off whenever they want to. Hopefully they last- but as Ryann always says, "We'll see!"
