Transportation Day

Every year we drive by a local church having a free "transportation day." And every year Rich complains about the traffic and the parking and the kids running into the street.
No complaints when you have a 3 year old! We took Ryann and Cara graciously came along for the ride.

We got to sit in the helicopter.
We got to see planes fly overhead. They were "SOOOO LOUD!" according to Ryann.
Almost as loud a Cara I think.

Ryann personally loved the busses the best- now that she knows "the wheels on the bus" so well. (i am sure you remember that video)
And a special thank you to daddy for waiting in line for 45 minutes for a 30 second horsie ride.
Next year we will bring some cash (didn't realize it was a fundraiser/carnival) and let the girls jump in the bouncy houses and get popcorn and even do the cake walk.

Innocent

She seems to think nothing is wrong here. I thought going through trashcans was bad enough. All bathroom doors will remain closed for the next year.

L is for...

Loser? Lame-O? Little cutie? LOVE?
.
We love you. Have a great day!

Another good one

Here is another good picture of Ryann for the senior page. Haha.
I promise she ate dinner before I gave her this big huge (half) cookie. This was another crazy dinner with Ryann pushing Cara all over the kitchen.
.
Cara's new favorite food is black beans. We dump a big pile on her high chair and she goes to town.

How to pass the time

Just in case you are stuck with a 3 year old and you want to keep them entertained...
Pull out your iphone and let her play some crazy awesome penguin/polar bear game.
.
Thanks Auntie Erin for getting this on tape, and for providing the polar bear game.

Where is Auntie Erin?

Ryann is smiling for this picture here. She is so proud of herself for trying to hide Auntie Erin.

About Time!

It is about time Cara met her Great Grandpa and Grandma.
I believe it was love at first sight.
Look close at those 2 little teeth on my munchkin!

Play Time!

There has been a lot of playing going on over here with Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Erin.

There is going to be a lot more where that came from tomorrow with Auntie Devyn, Uncle Zach, Aunt Ashley, and Addison

Ice Cream Playdoh

In order to get Ryann away from the TV as seen below...
We have started playing with Playdoh. We have very strict rules about it but this playdoh set she got for her birthday is WONDERFUL! She spends tons of time making "ice cream" and "sprinkles"
I am not sure who is more into it... Rich or Ryann?

Gross or Cute?

Is this gross or cute? I can't decide.

Flamingo Slippers

Pink Flamingo slippers always lead to...
Grandma 'Mingo Laughing.
100% of the time she will laugh. Guaranteed.
.
It is nice when things in life are guaranteed.
.
Pink Flamingo slippers for your birthday are also nice when you are 3. or 33. or any age for that matter. you can't go wrong.

Sooo Excited

We are soooo excited that Grandma, Grandpa, Ashley, Addie, Erin, Devyn, and Zach are coming to visit this weekend!!
Ryann is so happy she will get her bangs cut!
And Cara is just always happy.
.
Wednesday both girls go for their well checks so we will see how things are going for both of them. My poor Cara lost some weight with the flu so I just hope she has gained it back.

Birthday Party Extravaganza

Here are a couple pictures from the party. Below are the kids playing musical chairs. We played for awhile with no one ever really "getting out" because we would just move the chairs to the side and the kids would sit on the side chairs when the music ended.
My sweet friend Jonne did some face paintings and Ryann got a birthday crown for being the birthday girl.
Ryann's cute outfit came from Auntie Devyn.
Did I mention Ryann sang "Happy Birthday" to herself at least 10 times. It was great. It took a lot of pressure off of me to make sure I made her feel special enough on her birthday.
;)
Thank you everyone for coming and playing on one of the most gorgeous days of the year!

Let's get this party started!

About to get the birthday party started.
Heart cake and heart pizzas.
Rich was against a birthday party from the first day I mentioned it. Wish me luck.

Randomness- with love.

Ryann in her Valentine's Day party dress!

I will post pictures later since I am not at home, but today as I sat with a toy hanging in my mouth- trying to entertain my 9 1/2 month old long enough to get her to start nursing I laughed at my current situation. My milk supply is increasing by the way! Hooray for Mama's Milk Tea!
.
3 years ago I was pregnant and loving every minute of it. I will freely admit I didn't love every minute of my second pregnancy- but I definitely loved every minute of my first one. Not to say one baby is loved more than the other... but you get the point...
.
This morning I tried to tell Ryann her birth story on the way to daycare. I told her how much I loved her and how I was so excited for that day to come. I was so happy that she had joined our family and I was so blessed to have so many wonderful people there to witness the great miracle of birth.
.
And guess what happened? My mascara ran.
Because you can always count on a 'Wagner' to cry.
.
I don't often talk about my work on the blog, but I do want to express my appreciation for the most amazing life calling I have been given. To be able to spend time with women during some of the most sacred and important times in their life is a blessing. I am honored to do it and I am so thankful that I have such a supportive husband who hardly ever complains when I am gone 4 nights out of the week or leave for hours at a time on the weekends- frequently interrupting game nights, birthday parties, dinners, and regular old family time.
.
Anyway, happy birthday tomorrow Ryann. I love you more than you will ever know.
.
Which reminds me. I got a card from my Grandparents 2 weeks ago that said that. I am not appreciative enough of my grandparents and extended family. But I want them all to know that I love them all and they mean more to me than they will ever realize as well. I have received such strength and guidance in my life not only from their examples but from their love. I draw so much strength and energy from the love of people around me. Because guess what? there are a lot of people out there who I love and who I know love me back.
.
and finally... my extended family needs some extra prayers for health and strength. I won't go into detail on the blog but please say a quick prayer for them.

Wheels on the Bus

This video is a bit lengthy but I hope you enjoy it. I sure had fun listening to her.
On the home front Rich has now come down with the stomach flu bug. Hopefully it rings true for both of us and it only lasts 24 hours like it did with each girl.
.
And hopefully we don't have to cancel Ryann's 3rd birthday party that we are having on saturday. Are you coming?

Remember how I had a post on my little puker? If you do not remember then just scroll down.
.
Guess who is puking now?
.
Me.
.
But not just puke. The other stuff too. And a fever.
.
So no good post today. But hopefully tomorrow I will feel better and post an awesome video of Ryann singing "the wheels on the bus"

Puker

Puker- as in the one who pukes, vomits, or throws up all over herself, her father, her hair, and multiple blankets.
She is getting really good at aiming for the bowl. However, she doesn't grasp the concept that drinking more will lead to more puke.
.
Cara was doing this yesterday- so I hope it is only a 24 hour thing.

Kissing Cara

My little girls love to give kisses. Cara is learning so she gives open-mouth baby kisses.

Daddy does not think this is cute. I absolutely adore it!

Vintage

When I picked up the girls from daycare yesterday I found Cara is this beautiful "vintage" crochet dress.
Miss Mary has a 20 year old daughter and this was her dress. Miss Mary searched for it the other day because she knew it would be beautiful on Cara.
.
You bet she will be wearing this to church tomorrow.

Congrats Zach

My little brother Zach just got his mission call to the Fort Worth, Texas, Spanish speaking mission.
It was great to be on conference call with him and my siblings and grandparents. We are so excited for him and I am so happy to be able to send packages and letters "stateside!"
He leaves May 5th and he has already requested that my sister in law Katie have her baby May 4th (she is due May 31st).
These boots are from when he was just 1 or 2 years old... he was prepping for his Texas Mission!

Bah Bah Bah

Not sure how to write the sound Cara is making in words.
So Bah Bah Bah it is.

These 6 Days

Friday (my birthday) was the day Cara got sick. Friday was also the day I was determined to increase my milk supply (too much information? sorry). I would like to breastfeed Cara at least until her 1st birthday but with my busy schedule and being gone so often it has been hard to keep up a good supply.
.
So Friday I embraced my hippie midwife state and got some herbs and made me some tea.

If you look closely you can see the ingredients- and if you have any idea about bulk teas- or if you don't- this is probably the most disgusting tasting tea out there.

I boiled and simmered and strained these herbs- and made a mess in the kitchen- twice- in order to drink at least 3 cups a day. Honey and 7up help, but I gulp it down in the hopes that I can keep this little one smiling.
.
3 glasses a day for 6 days= 18 cups
But even if I don't have a good supply I know she loves me. Even when I snap a picture of her digging through the trash and then promptly take the trash can away.
.
If you come to my house you will notice all trash cans are on tables or counters. Next to gross tea.
.
Bottoms up!

Where's Cara

Cara is camouflaged here with Rich's Snuggie... Ryann would say, "Thats silly!"

Senior Pictures

I think it would appropriate to put this picture in Ryann's yearbook when she is a senior. Sufficiently embarrassing with a crazy look in her eyes. Not to mention a mouth full of food is always a great way to embarrass someone.
And a little note on the home front- Rich has started his new 3 month diet/exercise program today in order to hopefully win a contest through his work. Wish him luck and hopefully he won't be too cranky for the next couple months.
