Garage Sale

Garage sale day was last Saturday. I didn't have time to take pictures or post or do anything.

After it was all said and done we still have too much crap but we got rid of a lot.

My favorite part of the whole day was when Ryann starting bringing all of her painted rocks from the backyard up to the sidewalk. She arranged them all in a nice pile.

After awhile she curled up next to her rocks on the sidewalk and just laid there. Not talking, not really doing anything.

We went over and we found out that she was sad no one was buying her rocks. :(

We quickly went into action. My friend Heidi made a beautiful sign "handmade rocks by Ryann", that we posted above her rocks. We moved the rocks to a more centralized location, and then I started mad texting friends and family to come and buy her rocks. She was pleased as punch with that first sale to a cute grandma. She made 12cents on that one. Then our friends the Ingrams came to buy a blue rock for their boy, then the Bakers came and bought 3 and then Grandma mingo saved the day as well as Heidi and a few other friends.

Seriously the best part of the day.

Well, that and the pizza, and selling the pool table, and getting rid of baby clothes to a bunch of friends, and seriously, making the extra cash was really nice too.

Offer #2

Please say the 2nd time is a charm... because last night we just got a second offer on our house.

Our first offer backed out, so we had to get back in the swing of things and show the house again and keep it clean. Fortunately the first time around was 3 weeks, and now it has only been less than a week!

That means Rich has been growing his beard for more than a month. Getting close to two months I am sure. It isn't even prickly anymore. Did you know a beard can turn not prickly?

I had no idea. Gross right? He actually combs it every morning before going to bed. His "house beard" that he isn't going to shave until we actually sell the house. I tried to get him to budge with just the offer, but nope. He won't hear of it until those papers are signed.

Wish us luck, not only to sell the house and that the bank approves it, but that Rich will shave his beard!

Target for a Day

So I didn't actually spend all day long at Target, but it sure felt like it.

We were showing our house and had 2 hours to kill.

We spent it at Target. We had to get a few things, but the rest was just wasting time.

Which we did.

The girls got to play with more things than I would have ever let them play with on a normal day.

They also shared some popcorn.

And if you can image they also got into quite a lot of trouble. I did a lot of "counting to 3"

Anyone want to buy this little nugget?

Mall Fun

This is what you do when you are told you need to be out of your house for a few hours and it is 115 degrees outside.

We go to the mall and play in the playplace.

Read books at Barnes and Noble.

Go to Sees Candy for free samples.

Try on some crocs.

Look at the puppies in the window.

Waste Spend 1$ on a carousel ride.

2 hours of enjoyment while showing our house... $1 (plus gas)

Totally worth it... even more worth it if someone puts an offer on the house.
