Happy Valentine's Day

My silly husband decided to wear this Tie to church the day after Valentine's Day. Now tell me... do you understand why he is the piano player at church for the primary kids? (ages 3-11) This is not often a job for men in the church... but I do believe he adds a little flavor and flare to the normal routine of church. Plus, I do know the kids love him!

Actually- if the kids sing really well then their prize is to cut off a piece of his tie!

(not this one- an old junky one he wears every so often.)

You better believe you have never heard kids sing like they do with this as an incentive!

My sister Devyn "Tagged" me- So I figured I would play along because this one is easy! It is a picture tag where you take the 6th picture from the 6th folder- well, I had to go to the 6th folder and find the 6th folder in there and then the 6th picture because I have them so crazy organized by year and month and everything.

So here is my little nugget when she was in her rear facing car seat- it must have been after church because this cute dress I love.

I have been so sad to not have a computer monitor working lately- I haven't been able to blog about all the fun things that have been happening- Like Nug's Birthday! She has finally gotten excited about opening presents! Here is a dollhouse from GraMingo!

New Poll

Since I had my brand new diaper bag stollen I am in the market for a new one. Well, I bought the old one because it was a killer deal and totally on sale. However, the sale isn't there anymore. However, my boss said he would buy me a new one. So now... I am searching for the diaper bag of my dreams (I did really like the one that got stollen- but I hadn't tried it out with all the baby stuff since it was so new!)

Crazy Nugs

Does anyone else's child bring every single toy they can find to bed with them?

Nugs does.

Last night before she would lie down in bed she grabbed all these things and put them on her bed:

1. A princess tea cup and plate

2. A miniature rocking horse for her baby

3. 3 baby dolls

4. A book

5. A playskool mom, dad, and little girl (who she kept make kissing each other!)

6. Her new giraffe from Grandpa and Grandma Great

7. 3 blankets

8. 2 Silkies

9. and that might be all... not sure

I will take a picture of it when I get home. However, that won't help much since our computer monitor is broken (this is why there is a lack of pictures and posts lately) and I am blogging from work. (shhh... don't tell!)

Have you seen me?

Saturday afternoon while the Baby Fair was winding down I was walking towards my office when a man came up to me. He said:

"Is the microphone still turned on?"

I replied, "No. Sorry, why?"

He then said, "well, because someone's car just got broken into?"

And in a very concerned voice I said, "Oh, no. Where?"

He turned to the parking lot, some 20 feet away and said, "right there. That black honda pilot."

And yes. It was MY BLACK HONDA PILOT!!!

Oh wow. Surprise. I give away over $500 in free prizes that day, with free food, free car seat safety checks and more... and in return someone uses a spark plug to shatter the glass in my passenger side window and steal the purse on the floor board. Scratching and tearing up all the leather during the process.

Lucky for me Rich was right there and was able to cancel all of our credit cards and bank accounts. The yucky man who drove the small, old, white pontiac sunfire with the first two letters of his license plate being "AP" only got 19$ in gift cards. Nothing more. Well, unless he sold the purse and wallet, which were quite the pretty penny (and also BRAND NEW for Christmas and my birthday!!!)

The police arrived within 10 minutes of the call and that means within 20 minutes there were already people out looking for this nasty man. However, I am not optimistic because, really, I am sure it is all long gone once he realized he couldn't use any credit cards.

There are a lot of things I am grateful for in this situation. No one got hurt. I found out quickly. Credit cards are sooo easy to cancel. My sister had recently taken her purse out of the car so it wasn't stolen. My brand new sunglasses were on my head. I had my cell phone with me. I didn't have any cash in there :) and my temple recommend was at home.

Things I am not grateful for. I lost my calendar!! I have to replace my hospital badge. My prenatal vitamins were in there. I lost my sunglasses case. I have to replace my Drivers license. I had to close my bank account and reopen a new one. I have no way to buy groceries or gas until the new credit cards come. I have to memorize a new bank account number. And now I have to get a new diaper bag.

Criminals these days are sooo gutsy. This happened at a crowded place at 2:10 in the afternoon.

Happy Birthday Nugs!

Today was such a fun day. I tried hard not to think too much about Nugs and her birth just 2 short years ago because these dang hormones make me teary eyed. Oh geez.

So Rich spent some time this morning with Nugs teaching her how to say "two" whenever we ask her how old she is. She also had a big party with balloons and cupcakes at daycare.

.

After daycare we went to daddy's work and had more cupcakes... yummy...

Here is Nugs with one of her favorite new toys from Grandpa and Grandma Great! It is a giraffe. She immediately ran over to her toys and found her other giraffe to compare and hold the two.

.

And after that we had birthday dinner at Chilis. It was fabulous and Nugs sat in a booster seat and had chocolate milk. 2 firsts for her 2nd birthday!

Spitting Nugs

This was too funny not to post tonight. Nugs and I were playing and she started spitting all over me. This is basically for Uncle Zach and Aunt Erin to laugh hysterically.

2 Years Ago

2 years ago today I ate these dreadful things.
2 years ago I had never purposely eaten these things.
2 years ago we were out to dinner with some friends who convinced me to eat these things.
2 years ago my friends convinced me it would help put me into labor.
2 years ago my mouth burned.
2 years ago I was 38 weeks pregnant with Nugs.
2 years ago I was 2cm dilated, 80% effaced, and minus 3 station.
2 years ago I checked my own cervix.
2 years ago I didn't have any idea I could love one person so instantaneously and with my entire heart and soul.

Now 2 years ago tomorrow is quite another story.

Coke Factory

Another fabulous part of our trip to vegas was visiting the Coke Factory! We tasted 16 different flavors from around the world. We like the Punch from Denmark and we HATED the Beverly Soda from Italy- YUCK!

Rich's favorite was of course- Manzana Lift from Mexico!

Vegas Baby!

This weekend Rich and I drove to Las Vegas just so I could get my hair done! Hehe! We met Devyn and Jason there and we had a blast. I was sad to leave Nugs at first (thanks Gramingo and Vicki!) but once we were there it was awesome to be able to go out without diapers and a stroller and all the crazy stuff a toddler needs. We had a lot of fun, my hair looks awesome, and it was a quick get-a-way because not like that will ever happen again with CK on the way!

Nuggy has BANGS!

AAACCKKK! After multiple mornings where Nugs' hair was stuck in her dried boogers in the morning- I made the grown up decision to cut her bangs. Not as eventful, mind-shattering, or life altering as I imagined a first haircut would be...

Perhaps a little un-even and a little whispy... but she looks dang cute!

My little Sicky

So when I nursed Nugs she never got sick... well, one time... only one time! Not even a runny nose. Well, she has been pretty healthy all her little 2 years and now that she is in daycare she is trying to build up that immune system again!
She has a cough and it is really sad to hear it during the night. Hopefully it gets better soon.

Look What Daddy Did?!

Wow, I can't even remember how long ago- but Rich and a friend bought this nice entertainment center off of craigs list. It was 200$ and pretty beat up. well, after like 100 million coats of stain and sanding and not being able to use our garage for awhile... it is finally finished and set up in my house. It is beautiful and the best part is that Nugs can't get to the DVD player anymore!!

Now I just need a plant or something for the corner on the left and some amazing finds to put in the shelves... Oh wouldn't it be lovely if I had lots of money to decorate??

Guess what?

So I recently entered an amazing giveaway for a baby shower from www.thoughtsfromthemrs.com. There was over 1500$ worth of prizes. We all wrote our stories on why we thought we should win the baby shower and I guess I am a good writer because she picked me as one of her top 10! However, she then had her little boy pick a name out of a hat and I wasn't the winner. So sad.

But how fun! I was ALMOST a winner of over $1500 in prizes and gifts for this little nugget #2

I just need to clarify that I did NOT bring my camera to church!

I am not that obsessed with blogging! (well, maybe I am...)

However, Rich does have an amazing new iPhone that takes AWESOME pictures!

Church Today

Church today wasn't to bad. My little Nugs, Rich and I sat in the back row ( we are testing out which seating arrangement is the best) and kept her fed very nicely. Since church is now at 1:00 I am trying to make her nap early (at 11) so she doesn't eat lunch before we leave. So she ate pretzels, applesauce, bananas, fruit snacks, and whatever else I could shove in her mouth. She only tried once to escape down the aisle and it was an unsuccessful attempt on her part.

The best part was during sacrament. She only took one piece of bread and she made daddy refill her sacrament cup about 12 times so she could drink it over and over again.
